Setting and Saving Filters
Filters are a valuable tool for drilling down into a complex report to just show the information you need.
They are also an effective way to preserve many reports to use again in the future, using Momentum’s ability to save filters by name. In addition to reuse, named filters can be edited, or can be used as the basis for a new filter.
Note: The ability to use, edit, and save filters is determined by Security Group privileges (Setup > System Security > Configure Security Groups). Typically, administrators have more privileges than most users. This is controlled and can be updated by whoever is responsible for your site configuration.
To create a new saved filter, click the blue icon to open a dialog box that allows the filter to be named and set as a Common Filter. If “Common” is not selected, then it is saved as a Private Filter.
Any one filter can be saved as one’s Default Filter by clicking the yellow star icon. That filter is automatically called whenever the user accesses the report in the future.
